DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE FOR WOMEN 's
major aim is to see to the economic and social empowerment of women.
this is doen through seminars, workshops and training programs for women and holiday club for children.
Over the past nine years, DIWU has being involved in creating capital for small women businesses to start up and lfourish. Loan disbursements for traders, capacity building skills workshop for women in rural areas as well as skill learning workshops are some of the programs undertaken.
DIWU Has also conducted educational workshops for school children in rural areas in specific subjects like Mathematics, English Language so as to help shore up their skills.
